It all kicked off at a summer wedding by the sea—our respective cousins tied the knot in La Bernerie, France. Rachel had already spent an afternoon getting to know my family, yet when I finally walked up to introduce myself, she somehow skipped right past me!
The Great Joaquim Showdown
Enter Joaquim—my cousin and undefeated family champion—who immediately sprang into action to win Rachel’s heart. Dance-offs, serenades under the pavilion, and corny jokes by the buffet… he pulled out all the stops, but Rachel remained (politely) unimpressed.
